Real materials — never brass.

Built on a solid 925 sterling silver core. Choose sterling silver, or 14K gold vermeil — a thick layer of real 14K gold over that same sterling silver, not the cheap brass plating that turns skin green. Hypoallergenic and comfortable for everyday wear. (Solid 14K gold — coming soon.)

How to personalize:

1. Photo: Upload one clear photo of your dog in the personalization section. If you can't upload it there, simply reply to your order confirmation email with the photo.
2. Name: In the personalization box, write the name like this: Name: Mars (up to about 12 characters).

Photo tips: Choose a sharp photo where your dog's face is clearly visible, ideally facing the camera with both eyes open. We remove the background for you, and we can work from a phone photo, an older print you've photographed, or a screenshot — as long as the face is in focus. Then choose color, length and chain style.

Choose your chain: Cable (delicate and classic), Figaro (Italian-inspired link), Box (sleek and sturdy — shown in the photos), Curb (bold, flat links) or Paperclip (modern and trend-forward). Each chain has its own fixed price. 18" is our most popular length for disc pendants.

How do I send my dog's photo?
Upload it in the personalization section when you order. If that's not possible, reply to your order confirmation email with the photo and we'll match it to your order.

I only have older or imperfect photos. Will they work?
Usually, yes. As long as the face is in focus, we can work from older photos, scanned prints or screenshots. If a photo won't engrave well, we'll contact you before making the piece.

Do I need to remove the background?
No — our designers remove the background and prepare the portrait for engraving.

Can I add a date or a short message?
The front holds your dog's portrait and name. If you'd like a date too, add it in the personalization box (e.g. Name: Mars / 2012–2024) and we'll fit it in when space allows.

Is this only for dogs?
It's designed for dogs, but cats and other pets work beautifully too — see our Pet Portrait Necklace.

Do you have a pet necklace without a photo?
Yes — our Paw Print Necklace has an engraved paw and your pet's name.

What is gold vermeil, and is it better than gold-plated?
Gold vermeil is a thick layer of real 14K gold over solid 925 sterling silver. Gold-plated jewelry usually has a much thinner layer over brass or other base metals, so vermeil lasts longer and is kinder to sensitive skin.

How long does delivery take?
Each necklace is made to order in 1–3 business days after we receive your photo, then ships in 2–5 business days within the US. Express shipping is available.
